PLEASE LISTEN TO ‘SEASON 4 - EPISODE 27 & EPISODE 28’ FOR PART ONE AND TWO OF THIS FOUR-PART CASE.In November 2002 there appeared to be some movement on the case. Following a speech by the queen, it was announced there were plans to remove the double jeopardy law across England and Wales in which a person could not be tried twice for the same offence. The changes announced were retrospective which meant that the murders at Wild Park could be reinvestigated. Season 4 - Episode 9

July 24, 2019 • 54m

The sun was barely starting to go down on the Summer evening in 1961 when Michael Gregsten and Valerie Storie pulled off the road into the cornfield at Dorney Reach, Buckinghamshire. They frequently went parking there — or “trysting” as was often said at the time.Sometimes others had the same idea, but on this particular Tuesday evening it was just them and the faint sound of cars passing along the road behind. They sat in the grey Morris Minor for half an hour, smoking and chatting without the faintest idea that anyone else was there. It was the tapping on the drivers side window that startled them (Part 1 of 2).*** LISTENER CAUTION IS ADVISED AS THIS EPISODE CONTAINS ADULT THEMES AND DESCRIPTIONS THAT SOME LISTENERS MAY FIND DISTRESSING ***Researched and Written by Anna Priestland - http://www.agpstories.com/Order our new book ‘They Walk Among Us’ here: https://bit.ly/2BZ5STRMore information can be found on our website at http://theywalkamonguspodcast.comFor early advert free access and other extras visit: https://www.patreon.com/TheyWalkAmongUsMUSIC:Global Warming by Kai EngelHarbor by Kai EngelImminence by Kai EngelCold War Echo by Kai EngelOneiri by Kai EngelSeeker by Kai EngelPlague by Kai EngelSalue by Kai EngelMercy by Kai EngelMeekness by Kai EngelEvermore by Kai EngelChance by Kai EngelPurchase the tracks by Kai Engel here: https://kaiengel.bandcamp.com/All music sourced from http://freemusicarchive.org and used under an Attribution License - http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/YOU CAN FOLLOW US VIA OUR SOCIAL MEDIA PROFILES:Twitter - https://twitter.com/TWAU_PodcastFacebook - https://www.facebook.com/theywalkamonguspodcast/Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/theywalkamonguspodcast/Acast - https://www.acast.com/theywalkamongus For information regarding your data privacy, visit acast.com/privacy

Ian and Helen had planned their wedding for September 2016, but in April of that year, Helen disappeared. A note left, that looked to be written by Helen, requested that no one contact her as she needed some time alone. On the evening of Friday, February 3, 2017, 95-year-old Denver Beddows, and his 88-year-old wife Olive, received a visit from their son and daughter-in-law at their semi-detached home in Woolston.Denver, or Charles to those that knew him, had been struggling to care for his wife of 65 years, as she had been involved in a car accident which had left her increasingly anxious. Both her physical and mental health had been deteriorating and, in turn, this put an increasing strain on her husband.Denver’s son and his daughter-in-law left the property once they helped their father with the household chores. The name Boarded Barn didn't really suit the large Tudor house which more closely resembled a manor than a barn. It sat surrounded on three sides by acres of land. The only neighbours lived on a farm nearby, with a road passing the front of the property. Everything was going to plan. The dogs were running loose while Ann and Christine got to the difficult task of sorting through Ann mother’s belongings.Sometime in the afternoon, their two cars were joined by a third on the gravel driveway.
